What Flew
Dragon is delivering new scientific experiments, cargo, and the final pair of International Space Station Roll-Out Solar Arrays. Astronauts will install the arrays during spacewalks planned for later this fall, completing the station’s power system upgrade for research and future deorbit operations.
- Hardware to manufacture artificial retinas in microgravity that could help restore vision on Earth
- 3D heart tissue models to advance large-scale drug testing for future space missions
- Materials to study how a new type of glass forms in microgravity
- Brain organoids that may uncover treatment targets for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis
Dragon was scheduled to autonomously dock to the space-facing port of the Harmony module. The spacecraft is expected to remain at the station until mid-November before returning science and cargo to Earth with a Pacific splashdown.
