Mission Overview & Payload Insight

The Starlink Group 10-62 mission will deploy another batch of Starlink V2-mini satellites into low Earth orbit, further expanding SpaceX’s second-generation global broadband network. These satellites are engineered to deliver high-speed, low-latency internet across the globe, with a particular focus on remote, rural, and underserved regions.

The V2-mini spacecraft feature:

• Advanced phased-array antennas for higher throughput and dynamic beam steering

• Electric propulsion (Hall-effect thrusters) for efficient orbit raising and station-keeping

• Improved network resiliency, increasing capacity and reducing latency across the constellation

• Potential inclusion of Direct-to-Cell capability, enabling future connectivity directly between standard mobile phones and satellites in areas without terrestrial coverage

Following stage separation, the Falcon 9 first stage is expected to attempt a landing on an Autonomous Spaceport Drone Ship (ASDS) in the Atlantic Ocean—continuing SpaceX’s industry-leading reuse strategy.
