Add This Event to Your Calendar

Date: Nov 30, 2025

Location: LC-39A, Kennedy Space Center, Florida

Launch Time: 8:00 PM

Vehicle: Falcon 9 Block 5
Mission Type: Starlink v2-mini Deployment

Mission Overview:
Starlink Group 6-86 continues SpaceX’s expansion of its second-generation broadband constellation. This mission will deploy ~29 Starlink v2-mini satellites, built with enhanced phased-array antennas, next-gen laser inter-satellite links, and improved power systems designed to boost throughput and reduce network latency across mid-latitude regions.

These satellites are inserted into the Group 6 shell—a 43° inclination orbit supporting high-capacity connectivity across the Americas, the Atlantic corridor, and expanding maritime/aeronautical users.

Falcon 9 will follow a southeast trajectory, with first-stage landing planned on an autonomous droneship stationed in the Atlantic. This booster may be flying its 10th+ mission, showcasing SpaceX’s rapid-reuse architecture that now supports some of the highest annual launch rates in spaceflight history.

Why This Launch Matters:

  • Adds to SpaceX’s growing second-generation Starlink network

  • Strengthens laser-mesh architecture for low-latency global routing

  • Supports higher-density regions and evolving enterprise, maritime, and defense customers

  • Demonstrates ongoing high-cadence operations from NASA’s historic LC-39A

Viewing Notes for Enthusiasts:
Expect a bright daytime ascent with rapid plume expansion as Falcon 9 passes Max-Q and approaches stage separation. The booster entry burn and landing burn are often visible from the coast in good weather. Riverfront locations in Titusville offer some of the closest public views of LC-39A.
