The Starlink Group 6-79 mission will launch a batch of the next-generation Starlink V2-mini satellites, part of SpaceX’s growing global broadband constellation. These spacecraft are designed to deliver high-speed, low-latency internet connectivity—especially to underserved and remote areas. 

Key Highlights:

  • The launch cost is estimated at ~$52 million for a mission of this type. 

  • According to tracking listings, the mission will carry around 29 satellites and will be inserted into an orbital inclination near ~43° to maximize coverage in the target region. 

  • The first stage Falcon 9 booster will attempt a drone-ship landing at sea, as part of SpaceX’s reusable-rocket operations. 

Planning Your Visit

  • Best Viewing Locations: Jetty Park in Cape Canaveral, Playalinda Beach, Cocoa Beach Pier, and Titusville’s riverfront parks all offer excellent east-facing views.

  • Arrive Early: Evening launches can draw large crowds. Arrive at least an hour ahead to secure good parking and vantage points.

  • Bring: Camera or smartphone with zoom, binoculars, water, sunscreen (or a light jacket if evening), and folding chair.
