Mission Overview
This mission will launch a batch of next-generation Starlink V2-mini satellites, continuing SpaceX’s expansion of its global broadband satellite constellation. These spacecraft are designed for higher throughput and better coverage, offering enhanced internet connectivity worldwide—including remote and underserved regions.
The V2-mini satellites build on the capabilities of earlier versions with improvements in electric propulsion, phased-array antennas, and the potential to support “direct-to-cell” connectivity (enabling standard mobile phones to access satellite internet in certain cases).
The Falcon 9’s first stage is expected to attempt a landing on one of SpaceX’s autonomous drone ships stationed in the Atlantic Ocean—making for an exciting view for spectators along Florida’s Space Coast.
