Mission Overview:
SPAINSAT NG II, the second of Spain’s next-generation secure communications satellites built by Airbus for Hisdesat, is part of the SPAINSAT NG program. While the first satellite (NG I) launched successfully on January 30, 2025, the NG II mission has been rescheduled to October 22, 2025, not August 22 as previously reported

Designed to replace the original SPAINSAT and XTAR satellites, SPAINSAT NG II will occupy the 30°W geostationary longitude slot, complementing NG I at 29°E
