Mission Overview:
This mission will place MTG‑S1, the Meteosat Third Generation Sounder satellite, into geostationary orbit. Onboard is the Sentinel‑4A ultraviolet/visible/near‑infrared spectrometer, marking the first time Europe deploys an infrared sounding instrument from GEO. After transatlantic arrival in May, the satellite was moved to Astrotech in Florida and completed fueling by June 19
