ShuttleFest IV: A Weekend Honoring the Hubble Space Telescope

The American Space Museum has announced that astronauts Eileen Collins, Don Thomas, and Joe Tanner will attend ShuttleFest IV, a special weekend event from Friday, April 11, to Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Hyatt Place Titusville.

This year’s ShuttleFest IV celebrates the 35th anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope with “Hubble Huggers Saturday,” featuring four panel discussions on the telescope’s launch, servicing missions, and breathtaking imagery. Special guests include service mission spacewalkers Joe Tanner and John Grunsfeld.

Event Highlights:

🔹 April 11 – Bonus Meet & Greet: A special Astronaut Meet & Greet & Book Signing with Don Thomas at the American Space Museum, featuring music and a lively atmosphere.

🔹 April 12 – Hubble Huggers Saturday: A day of expert panels celebrating Hubble’s legacy with those who helped launch and service the telescope.

🔹 April 13 – Space Shuttle Panels: Don Thomas will lead discussions with NASA legends Bob Sieck and Jay Honeycutt. Another panel will feature Jonathan Ward, Eileen Collins, and Mike Leinbach, co-authors of Bringing Columbia Home, sharing insights on the Columbia tragedy.

This event is a rare opportunity to connect with astronauts, space workers, and shuttle-era enthusiasts. With only 125 spots available at just $90 for the weekend, tickets are expected to sell out quickly.

All proceeds support the U.S. Space Walk of Fame Foundation, the museum’s parent non-profit.
