Project Kuiper: Amazon's Low Earth Orbit Satellite Initiative
Project Kuiper is a large-scale satellite constellation developed by Kuiper Systems LLC, a subsidiary of Amazon, aimed at providing global broadband internet coverage. The project plans to deploy a network of 3,236 satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), strategically distributed across 98 orbital planes. These satellites will operate at three distinct altitudes—590 km, 610 km, and 630 km—forming a multi-layered system designed to ensure high-speed, low-latency internet access across underserved and remote regions worldwide.
